Dr. Blaze D. Emerson

Coastal Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center is proud to announce that Dr. Blaze Emerson joined our practice September 4th, 2023. Dr Emerson specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery (MIS) in addition to advanced surgical care of adult spine pathology. 

Dr. Emerson earned a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology as well as a Masters degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida. He attended Nova Southeastern University medical school and completed a fellowship in the Osteopathic Principles and Practices program. After graduating from medical school he completed a general orthopaedic surgery residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. Most recently Dr. Emerson graduated from an orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at the Spine Institute of Arizona with an emphasis on minimally invasive spine surgery.

PHILOSOPHY: As a dedicated spine surgeon, my practice is rooted in a commitment to providing compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care to each patient with a strong focus on minimally invasive techniques. Minimally invasive procedures are designed to minimize disruption to normal anatomical structures. By using smaller incisions and specialized instruments, I strive to reduce unnecessary surgical trauma, resulting in less pain, tissue damage, and a faster return to daily activities for my patients. As a surgeon I recognize that surgery is not always the best or first option therefore, I believe in a holistic approach that not only addresses the physical aspects of spinal conditions but also considers the emotional and psychological well-being of my patients.
