Welcoming a New Orthopedic Physician to Our Practice
We are proud to announce that Dr. Drew Iman has rejoined Coastal Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center and will be seeing patients starting June 2, 2026.
Dr. Iman specializes in non-operative orthopedic care with a focus on helping patients return to an active, pain-free lifestyle. With extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Iman provides comprehensive care for injuries and conditions affecting the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Areas of expertise include:
- Joint pain and arthritis treatment
- Sports injuries
- Fracture care
- Knee, shoulder, hip, and spine conditions
- Non-surgical orthopedic treatments
- Regenerative medicine and rehabilitation

Announcement Regarding Dr. Emerson
Coastal Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center would like to inform our patients and community that Dr. Emerson will be leaving our practice effective September 4, 2026.
We are grateful for Dr. Emerson’s dedication and contributions to our patients and practice during his time with us. We appreciate the compassionate orthopedic care he provided and wish him continued success in future endeavors. Our practice remains committed to ensuring uninterrupted orthopedic care for all patients. Medical records will remain securely maintained by Coastal Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center, and patients may continue their treatment with one of our experienced orthopedic providers. Dr. Hans Hess is a Spine Trained Orthopedic Surgeon who will be starting with our practice on September 1, 2026 and will be happy to transition your care to his service.

Standard Precautions always apply regardless of suspected COVID infection or exposure status. Standard precautions include hand hygiene, environmental cleaning and disinfection, injection and medication safety, use of appropriate PPE based on activities being performed; minimizing potential exposures with respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette; and reprocessing of reusable medical equipment between each patient and when soiled. Eye protection during all patient encounters is recommended for health care personnel working in counties with substantial or high transmission. Eye protection is defined as goggles or a face shield that covers the front and sides of the face.
